Tullyard
Update: 2021 - I have established this is not the correct 'Tullyard' townland. The correct one is located very close to Artigarvan.
Tullyard is the name of a 'townland', approximately 13 miles south west of Strabane, and about half way between Castlederg and Drumquin on the Drumquin Road in (now) Northern Ireland.
Being a townland, it was only a 'district' and not a town as such.

Basically, it is a few hills of farm land with a scattering of old derelict buildings and the occasional new home.
I have not been able to ascertain the precise location of Robert Wawn's home in 1858.
Here are a few snaps of the area, taken 15 August 2002.
The houses would have all been whitewashed in their day.
The countryside of Tullyard
These whitewashed houses have been well preserved. There is a new house behind the camera.
This last picture was my favourite. It was on a lovely plateau overlooking the valley.
