Work in progress
May 2005 - Obviously, these pages are finally being rebuilt
This is a summary of work in progress on the Wawn family, and a general cry for 'help' for any information.
A. Information required:
1. Alexander Wawn and John Wawn - Leckpatrick - 1838.
These two people could be a previous generation of Wawn's in Ireland. Any ideas ?
I am unable to place these Baptism certificates:
2. Elizabeth Wawn b. 29 May 1852, Baptised 23 April 1854, Parish of St Saviour,
County of Argyle NSW. Father - John WAWN, Mother Eliza WAWN, Abode -
Crookwell, Profession - Settler

3. Sarah Jane Wawn b. 8 December 1852, Baptised 9 January 1853, Parish of St Saviour,
County of Argyle NSW. Father - George WAWN, Mother Eliza WAWN, Abode -
Goulburn, Profession - Shoemaker

Note the difference and similarities here - mothers have same name, but births are too
close together to be the same mother. Also, these are from very close areas in NSW.
Were there two other Wawn settlers - namely John and George ? (This could not
be John James Wawn).
B. General Work in Progress
1. I am trying to create a complete index of everybody mentioned in all my records -
quite a big typing job. With this, the 'big picture' might become a bit clearer.
2. Type up the IGI records - masses of them !
